DataPath, founded in 1984, is a management-owned, privately held company based in Little Rock, AR, that produces software solutions for administering employee benefit plans. Its clients include employers, outsourcing benefit consultants, and Plan Service Providers.

DataPath specializes in systems for employee benefit plans operating under federal regulations, such as:

  • § 125 Cafeteria Plans
  • § 105 Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
  • § 129 Dependent Care Assistance Programs (DCAPs)
  • § 105 Defined Contribution Health Plans
  • § 105 Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs)
  • § 223 Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)
  • § 132(f) Tax-Free Transportation Plans
  • § COBRA

DataPath takes sketchy concepts and vague regulatory guidance and creates concrete administration systems. In 1995, for example, DataPath released its first complete system solution, Max105, designed to save employers premium dollars through managed risk by using fully insured insurance group policies. This was a Defined Contribution Plan, designed seven years before others were just starting to discover how to make Defined Contribution Health Plan arrangements work.

The solution may not always be new administration software as evidenced by DataPath's myResourceCard® and mySourceCard™, MasterCard® credit and debit cards that work seamlessly with Employer-Sponsored Reimbursement Plans.

DataPath is determined to provide flexible solutions to allow its clients to market, propose, install, administer, test, and report employee benefit plans.
