Investments

One of the most important aspects of an HSA is the potential for long term savings. Money that is left in the account at the end of the year can remain and grow tax free. For those individuals with an account balance in excess of $3,000 a portion of their HSA can be moved from the saving account and invested in mutual funds. Please note, there is a minimum trade amount of $250 per transaction.

Qualified HSA account holders can choose from a diverse selection of mutual funds. These funds are arranged in 4 professionally managed portfolio models including “Conservative”, “Moderate”, “Balanced”, and “Aggressive”. Each of the 4 models has a unique mix of stocks, bonds, and even real estate; you choose the model that is right for you.

For the more experienced investor, you can design your “Custom” portfolio with percentages in each fund as you see fit.
